I AM WORTHY.
I AM FEARLESS.
I AM PURPOSED.
I AM A BEAST.
I AM A BRAVE.
Last Saturday, that’s what this Choose901: Alumni event left every woman in the room feeling like—worthy, fearless, and brave among many other words.
The Alumni program hosted its first women’s empowering brunch titled Create Yours for Alumni and community friends. The event included an opportunity for women to network with one another, in addition to experiencing a wonderful brunch, drinks, and a panel discussion with powerful, and successful Memphis women.
This event was an overall celebration of womanhood.
Mix & Mingle
Women gathered at the beautiful space that is Visible Music College and mixed and mingled over a game of bingo. They got to create their own flower bouquets to take home, and shop local vendors ran by women.
IF IT DOESN’T FULFILL YOU, THEN LEAVE…
Whether it’s a workplace or friendships, Ms. Jacque reminded us that if it doesn’t serve you that you should leave.
The words of wisdom that Ms. Jacque, an Alumni Counselor at Soulsville Charter School, shared and many of the women resonated with. The panel was honest and thoughtful in their responses and the advice they shared with the other women in the room.
The afternoon was wrapped up with an opportunity for the women in the room to write down and share their dreams on a puzzle piece. A reminder that, as women, we are all part of a collective, and together we get to continue to create our vision, create our path, create our anything.
