Earlier this year, Woodyard Realty Corp joined forces with Give901 to create a scholarship. It supports education, opens doors to success, and displays the importance of giving back and being involved in the community. The scholarships have already found their recipients, and now we are thrilled to share their inspiring stories.

Their roots run deep in the city, and it was at St. George’s Independent School that they laid the foundation for their educational pursuits. Their years there were formative in developing what they call their “North Star” goals. The two primary goals include becoming a college graduate and developing a successful career.
While at St Georges, Clover recognized that discipline and a support network would be crucial in their academic journey. They understood the value of self-discipline.
As a matter of fact, they see it as the key to staying focused and on track when pursuing their goals.
Clover’s determination to build a supportive network echoes Memphis’s spirit of unity. In a city where people unite to lift each other up, Clover aims to take full advantage of available resources.
One way Clover does that is through the Choose901 Alumni Program. Through the program, Clover is actively engaged in events and resources that equip young Memphians. They provide resources to cultivate their talent, support them throughout their careers, and connect them with businesses and opportunities in Memphis.

Clover’s journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Over the past few years, financial, mental, and emotional setbacks impacted them in ways they couldn’t have predicted. In a world where uncertainty became the norm during the pandemic, Clover made the difficult decision to pause their education and enter the workforce full-time.
Although it wasn’t the path they had initially envisioned, Clover continued to work toward goals and found certainty within themselves. They developed resilience, demonstrating they could rebound and continue their journey despite setbacks.
Life’s lessons have taught Clover the importance of balance and self-care. They believe this guides them on how to become the best version of themselves in various roles, whether as a student, employee, daughter, or partner. A SCHOLARSHIP ILLUMINATES THE PATH FORWARD
Clover’s goal of pursuing a college degree took a remarkable turn when they applied for and received the Woodyard Realty Scholarship. This scholarship served as a beacon of hope, illuminating their path back toward higher education.
Before receiving the scholarship, financial barriers clouded their path, causing them to doubt whether they could ever be a student again. Clover will now attend Southwest TN Community College, where they plan to study computer information technology, focusing on cyber defense. Unquestionably, their choice to attend Southwest carries additional significance because their father, a huge source of inspiration for their educational journey, is also an alumnus of the college.
