Biden calls for mentors: How will you respond?

In his first State of the Union address, President Biden called on Americans like you and me to sign up to mentor students. Children across the nation—and in our city—are facing learning loss and mental health impacts from COVID-19.

But as Biden stated, “We can all play a part in schools’ recovery.”

Will you answer this call and support students in Memphis?

You have what it takes to be a Memphis Mentor—and the Memphis Grizzlies Foundation is ready to connect you with a young Memphian and will provide all the training and support you need to change the trajectory of a child’s life.

Through the Memphis Grizzlies Foundation you can build a 1:1 relationship with a mentee at any of their affiliate organizations including Streets, Memphis Athletic Ministries, and Grizzlies Prep Charter School or you can join the Grizzlies TEAM mentor program and be part of a network of supporters for young people.

“Accomplishing our dreams is not about the things we do on our own. It’s about the people that help us get there. It’s about our mentors.”
Elliot Perry
Mentor, Memphis Basketball Legend
