Board to Beers

Hours: Thurs 6 – 9PM, Fri – SAT 4PM – 12AM, Sun 1 – 9PM
  • Board to Beers offers a friendly neighborhood bar atmosphere with a twist – over 800 board games waiting to be played. After a small entry fee, you can enjoy everything from new games to classic favorites, all while sipping on local beers. The idea for Board to Beers was born out of a personal tragedy that led the owner, Taylor Herndon, to pursue her passion for games and community. This spot is perfect for both beginners and seasoned players looking for a cozy place to unplug and enjoy good company​

Nerd Alert

Hours: Thurs 12 – 9pm, fri 12 – 4pm and 6 – 9pm, sat 10am – 3pm and 7 – 9pm, sun 12 – 3pm

For those who embrace their geeky side, Nerd Alert in Memphis is the place to be. With a welcoming atmosphere and a tons of events, this community and store caters to comic book enthusiasts, gamers, and science fiction lovers. 

FLIP SIDE Pinball Bar

For pinball aficionados, FLIP SIDE Pinball Bar combines the thrill of classic and modern pinball machines with a retro-inspired atmosphere. And their food is bussin’.

Hours: Mon-Thurs 2 – 10PM, FRI 12PM – 1AM, SAT 10AM – 1AM, SUN 12 – 10PM

901 Games is a gaming store that caters to tabletop gamers, trading card enthusiasts, and video game lovers. Known for its regular gaming events, it’s def a hub for the gaming community in Memphis​​.

The Cellar Tabletop Games & Comics

Location: 2737 Bartlett Blvd, Bartlett, TN 38134
Hours: OPEN DAILY 12 – 7PM

The Cellar is open daily and is especially known for their Fright Night Magic, Saturday Board Game Nights at 6 PM, and EDH/Commander on Sundays at 1 PM. Pre-registration is recommended.

War Room Hobbies

Hours: MON – FRI 2 – 10PM, SAT 10AM – 10PM, SUN 1 – 6PM

Open 7 days a week, War Room Hobbies is focused on table top gaming of all kinds. Carrying a variety of games, they dedicate specific nights to gaming groups to play games they carry. They have a lively Discord, too!

Memphis Chess Club

Location: 195 Madison Avenue Memphis, TN

Hours: MON – FRI 2 – 10PM, SAT 10AM – 10PM, SUN 1 – 6PM

If you’ve streamed The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix, we bet you and Beth Harmon would get a kick out of the Memphis Chess Club, located Downtown. It’s the perfect cozy corner to flex your chess skills—or play any of the other tabletop games on hand in their library!

  • Monday-Tuesday: 7AM-830PM
  • Wednesday-Saturday: 7AM-9PM
  • Sunday: 8AM-830PM
