6 Ways to Volunteer in February with Volunteer Odyssey

For this piece, we are keeping it short and sweet, just like the month of February.

February is the month of love. Between Valentine’s Day and Black History Month, there’s a lot to love in these 28 days.

Memphis is a beautiful intersection of love, soul, and service. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. so boldly stated, “Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

All you need is a heart full of grace, and the opportunity to show your greatness. Here are six opportunities for you to “show off” in the spirit of serving your city this month:

  • Catholic Charities of West TN, Homeless Outreach, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 10:00am

Because of the pandemic, Catholic Charities cannot allow individuals to come shop for clothing and hygiene items themselves, though they are still in need of these vital supplies. To help with this, Catholic Charities needs volunteers who can help distribute food, clothing, and supplies to our most vulnerable neighbors. Clients will provide their needs and sizing information allowing the volunteer to put together a bag for them.
