Time travel races

When: Sunday, January 21st, 2024, at 9AM

What: Step into a time-traveling adventure at the Time Travel 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon—a unique race that’ll transport you through eras! Embrace the New Year with a fun, family-friendly event where you’ll hustle through miles designed to take you on a far-out journey. Get ready to groove alongside fellow runners, celebrating the start of the year with a blast from the past. With distances for everyone, from the little ones to seasoned runners, this race promises a rad experience for all. Join the adventure, secure your spot, and embark on a dino-mania running adventure. Stick around post-run for a wellness after-party and connect with race partners to kick-start those New Year’s resolutions!

What: Run around the Crosstown neighborhood this winter to benefit Church Health and your own health. A successful 3.1 miles will get you hot coffee, a post-race beer, and a hot meal from the Church Health Kitchen!

What: Jog on over to the 26th Annual Memphis Civitan Frosty 5K Run, a race dedicated to celebrating and supporting individuals with special needs. This event, available both in-person and virtually, stands as a testament to the Memphis community’s commitment to children and adults with special needs. Over the past 25 years, Memphis Civitan has made a significant impact by distributing funds to local charities that support these individuals. From SRVS Kids to Special Olympics Greater Memphis, your participation and support directly contribute to these admirable organizations. Not a runner? You can still make a difference by donating or registering as a Spirit Runner, ensuring your funds go toward making a lasting impact in the lives of these families. Join the Celebrating Abilities Run Event Series and be part of the meaningful journey to support our special friends who rely on our collective help!

When: Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, at 9AM

What: Benefiting the Harwood Center and local Memphis non-profits, this annual race, in partnership with Memphis Civitan and SRVS, supports vital services for children in our community. Consider making a donation or becoming a fundraiser to further support the cause. Your participation and contributions make a significant difference in the lives of children in the Memphis area. 

Cost: 

  • $30
  • Virtual Runner — $20

Whether you’re taking on the challenging half marathon or the spirited 5K, this event promises scenic views and a spirited community atmosphere. Join fellow runners in this invigorating race experience amidst the beauty of the Wolf River Nature Area right in Memphis.

When: Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 8AM

What: Join the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County for a heartwarming cause at their dog-friendly 5K! Lace up to save precious lives of animals in our community, supporting their second chances since 1933. This event celebrates the resilience of these animals and the unwavering support from individuals like you. Enjoy a fulfilling day with the race, an award ceremony, and a chance to honor loved ones with commemorative signs along the route. Your participation not only supports these animals but also creates a lasting impact in their lives.

What: Take strides toward literacy and community healing at The Healing Races of Memphis. This is a purpose-driven event aiming to raise awareness about illiteracy in our city. With race options for all ages and abilities, from a 1-mile fun walk to a 10K run, this event invites everyone to race for a noble cause. 

Cost: 

  • 5K Walker/Runner — $25

  • Children Event Ages 4-12 — $5

  • Team of 20 or more — $20 per person

  • Team of 15-19 — $21 per person

  • Team of 10-14 — $22 per person

  • Team of 5-9 — $23 per person

  • Students from grades 1 through 12 — FREE

St. Patrick's Day races

When: Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 8AM

What: Gear up for the Time to Paddy 5K/10K and Lucky 13.1 Half Marathon, an annual St. Patrick-themed run for all ages! Join the festive ambiance with chip-timing, swag including designer shirts and medals, free photos, and a ‘biggest team’ contest. Family-friendly fun awaits with a kids’ dash and post-race treats. What: Get ready to hop into action at the SRVS Bunny Run 5K on March 30th at Cancer Survivors Park! This event isn’t just about a run—it’s a stride towards empowerment for children with disabilities. Starting with a Kids’ Run and a lively Family Parade, the day unfolds with an exciting egg hunt, children’s games, and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny! By joining this fun-filled 5K, you’re contributing to SRVS Kids, a program dedicated to nurturing and supporting children with special needs in the Mid-South for over 30 years. Even if running isn’t your thing, you can still make an impact by donating to SRVS, ensuring continued support for essential services. The Bunny Run 5K marks the final race in the Annual Celebrating Abilities Race Event Series (CARES), benefiting SRVS, Harwood, and Memphis Civitan. Make a difference, one hop at a time!
