Catholic Charities of West Tennessee, Mobile Food Pantry

Monday, February 5 – Tuesday, February 8 (Repeats)

8:45 am – 11:00 am

Join us in this fun direct service event that helps those in need in our community!

Volunteer roles include collecting data, loading food boxes into cars, and directing traffic. This entire shift takes place out of doors! Our work is needed now more than ever, and we hope you can join us!

Memphis Rox Climbing + Community, Period Power Distribution

Volunteers will help distribute menstrual products to the community at no cost. Volunteers will assist with checking registrants in, packaging products and distributing products. 

Germantown Performing Arts Center, An Evening of Comedy with Alex Edelman and Special Guest Ariel Elias

5:15 pm – 9:00 pm

Join us at Temple Israel’s fundraiser for a night of uproarious laughter and comedic brilliance featuring Broadway superstar comedian Alex Edelman with Ariel Elias as the opening act. This dynamic duo will regale you with personal stories, sharp wit, and side-splitting humor.

Memphis Botanic Garden, Whiskey, Wine, & Chocolates

6:30 pm – 10:30 pm

Join Memphis Botanic Garden staff celebrate Valentine’s Day with premium Whiskey, Wine, & Chocolate. Chocolates are specially crafted and designed by renowned chocolatier, Phillip Ashley, and paired with premium beverages.

Memphis Botanic Garden, PAL (Play & Learn) Docent Training

Friday, February 9

10:00 am – 12:00 pm

The Memphis Botanic Garden is seeking a team of outgoing and friendly volunteers to form the PAL (play and learn) Docent Team. PAL Docents will do a variety of activities including greeting families, keeping the garden area tidy, handing out information, answering guest questions, and engaging with the children via crafts, storytelling, and other ad-hoc programming. If you feel like this is a good fit for you, register for one of our information sessions! 

Volunteer Orientation for Page Robbins Adult Day Center

Tuesday, February 13

3:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Page Robbins Adult Day Center provides unique and uplifting daytime care for adults with memory loss, in a safe environment, while empowering and educating their caregivers and the community. 

At our volunteer orientation session, you will learn more about Page Robbins and the exciting opportunities available to you as a volunteer. You will be able to take a tour, ask questions, and tell us more about you so that you can be best matched with roles that fit your interests. Memory loss is sad, but we are a very happy place! We would love for you to be a part of our joy-filled days.

Memphis Rox Climbing + Community, Compass Schools Day of Service

In partnership with Compass Schools, Memphis Rox has organized a volunteer activity for the youth to engage in their community and introduce them to the Memphis Rox facility and family! 

Volunteer events will have activities such as working in the garden to help provide fresh food options to local community members, and neighborhood clean-ups to help provide trash and debris removal from the local community streets.

Youth Villages, Soup Sunday Kitchen

Sunday, February 18

6:15 am – 12:00 pm

Become a Soup Sunday volunteer; for 35 years Soup Sunday has served gallons of soup and raised more than a million dollars for Youth Villages programs. 

 

We are incredibly grateful to the thousands of loyal volunteers who have previously participated in Soup Sunday and hope you can join us for Soup Sunday 2024!

We have locations willing to share space and just need YOU – volunteers willing to share a few hours on a cold night, providing dinner and life-saving shelter. Come help the staff serve dinner!

Memphis Rox Climbing + Community, Volunteer Resource Drive

Thursday, February 29

4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

This event is designed as a way for Memphis Rox to collect donated items that can be distributed from the Memphis Rox Community Closet and back into the community at “No Cost” to the consumer, on a regular and continual basis. Volunteers will help with the collection and inventory of donated goods.
