National Small Business Week Mind Your Business Workshop: Get Procurement Ready – How To Prepare for a Bid

Join us for an in-person workshop led by Chief Strategy Officer for the Heal Group and CF APMP Fellow, Kirste L. Webb, who will be instructing on best practices around “How to prepare for a Bid.”

Kirste Webb brings more than 38 years’ experience to the Heal Group, a family owned group of companies providing technical services, information governance, transportation, and analytical services. Her career has allotted her a wide-range of experience providing support to small businesses in all facets of strategy and business development, including working to define their growth strategies, identifying and targeting new opportunities and customers, determining potential team partners and competitors, and building a strong capture and proposal process. Additionally, Kirste supports small businesses through serving as a counselor with the East Tennessee Procurement Technical Assistance Center and volunteering as Conference Co-Chair with the Professional Services Council (PSC) Vision Forecast Conference, and serves on the Executive Advisory Board for the PSC Civilian Agencies Council. She also achieved APMP Certification – Foundation Level, and holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

 

National Small Business Week is a celebration of small business owners and entrepreneurs, therefore, MMDC has chosen to focus on its Buy Local Procurement Program for this year’s events. The MMDC Buy Local program is dedicated to increasing the local goods and services that District institutions purchase from local, minority, and women-owned businesses headquartered in Memphis.


MMDC’s Mind Your Business series is an educational platform of classes taught by subject matter experts to assist small business owners and entrepreneurs scale with the skills for business cycle planning, marketing strategies, workforce building, business financials and taxes, and succession planning.
