Intern I Solutions Analyst (FedEx)

Job Description

This internship is designed for students who are or were part of an undergraduate or post-graduate degree program and who have or will graduate between May 2023 – August 2025. As a FedEx intern, you will be working on projects directly related to your degree providing you valuable, real-world experience.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology, Project Planning, Business, Finance, Communication, Supply Chain, Project Planning, or other related majors.
  • 3.0 GPA
  •  Availability to work 40 hours per week between June and August 2024
  •  Resume should include the following information: email address, telephone number, name of college/university, degree, major, GPA, date of intended graduation (month and year)

 

Preferred qualifications:
  • Strong analytical/data skills
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills including technical writing
  • Software technical background
  • Knowledge and/or experience with one or more of the following: Java/J2EE & related frameworks, JMS, JavaScript, HTML5, .Net, C, C++, C#, Oracle, Weblogix, JBOSS, JDBC, subversion, and/or Query Languages such as PL/SQL
  • Consumer Insights, Sales Insights, Business Analytics
  • Ideally, a student should be graduating within 12 months of completing the internship and available for full-time employment

 

Key responsibilities:
Under close supervision, the successful candidate will assist with the planning and execution of Corporate Sales initiatives. Responsibilities may include analytics, project management, research and report development, and documenting processes/procedures; analyze effectiveness and make recommendations on process improvement.
The FedEx Solutions team supports and enables the FedEx Salesforce. FedEx Solutions consists of three organizations; Customer Solutions, Global Sales Operations (GSO), and Small Business & Enablement.
The Customer Solutions team within FedEx Solutions is focused on supply chain consultation, solutions design, new customer implementations, supply chain analysis and modeling, customer bid responses, content development and web development.
The FedEx Global Sales Operations (GSO) team supports the global sales force with core sales operations systems and processes and directly supports the FedEx Services Sales team with planning and execution. GSO defines customers and matches them to Sales professionals, creates compensation strategies and executes compensation processes, and builds tools and resources to make the FedEx Sales team more effective. GSO also serves as educators for our salesforce.
 The FedEx Small Business & Enablement team is the entry point for the commercial salesforce, while developing and executing the overall small and medium market strategy.  Additionally, this team creates and manages all Go to Sales plans through effective content management and delivery platforms.
The company does not offer immigration sponsorship for the permanent position(s) that will be offered to successful interns who are hired into the Foundations Program or full-time entry level positions.
Relocation and housing assistance will not be available for an internship.
