Accounting Internship (Fedex)

Job Description

This internship is designed for students who are or were part of an undergraduate or post-graduate degree program and who have or will graduate between May 2023 – August 2025. As a FedEx intern, you will be working on projects directly related to your degree providing you valuable, real-world experience.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program such as Accounting, Business, Data Analysis, Financeor other related discipline
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week between June and August 2024
  • Resume should include the following information: email address, telephone number, name of college/university, degree, major, GPA, date of intended graduation (month and year)
Preferred qualifications:
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Basic accounting knowledge/skills including knowledge of general ledger, payroll, and/or disbursements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use MS Office tools such as Project, Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ideally, a student should be graduating within 12 months of completing the internship and available for full-time employment.
Key responsibilities:
Under close supervision, the successful candidate will engage in work on a variety of accounting-related disciplines such as account reconciliations, variance analysis, lease review, payroll processing, disbursements, configuration and support of corporate administrative systems and processes.
The company does not offer immigration sponsorship for the permanent position(s) that will be offered to successful interns who are hired into the Foundations Program or full-time entry level positions.
Relocation and housing assistance will not be available for an internship.
