Having embraced Memphis in 2022, Becky quickly immersed herself in the community through her passion for gardening and her entrepreneurial spirit, thus launching a business deeply committed to protecting our Earth and our wellbeing.

Planting Roots in Memphis: An Entrepreneur's Welcome

Becky’s integration into Memphis was marked by immediate involvement in local organizations like the Memphis Herb Society and the creation of a garden club at Snowden School. Her enthusiasm for the city and its people shines through when she describes her experience:

Becky’s dedication to sustainability was instilled in her from a young age, nurtured by a family that valued the environment. This foundation was crucial as she witnessed sustainable practices globally: 

These experiences solidified her commitment to sustainable living, further fueled by personal challenges like battling breast cancer, which she poignantly notes pushed her towards a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle.

Boshi Botanicals: Memphis' First Zero-Waste Store

The inception of Boshi Botanicals was a blend of personal need and passion. Becky explains: 

The store has carved out a niche in Memphis by offering an array of sustainable products, focusing on locally sourced ingredients and minimizing environmental impact. Becky is meticulous about her product selection, ensuring they meet her stringent criteria for sustainability:

Community engagement forms the core of Boshi Botanicals. Becky is passionate about making her business a community hub for education and sustainability.  Underlining her commitment to community involvement, she says:

As Boshi Botanicals celebrates its first six months, Becky looks toward the future with optimism and clear goals. She plans to expand the store’s educational outreach, offering soap making classes, and increasing the range of bulk products.  Enthusiastic about the growth of both her business and her personal development within the Memphis community, Becky shares:
