Your Guide to Game Nite Lounge in Overton Square, Memphis

Memphis, are you ready to press play?

There’s a brand-new entertainment experience coming to the Bluff City, and it’s unlike anything you’ve seen before. Say hello to Game Nite Lounge (GNL), opening its doors on Thursday, July 18th, right in of Overton Square, inside the old Bari space on Cooper.

The grand opening also marks the 10-year anniversary of bringing fun to Memphis, thanks to the same creative minds behind Memphis Escape Rooms and the AMUSE Adventure Museum.

We got an exclusive sneak peek before opening day, and let’s just say: this is your next go-to spot for unforgettable nights with friends and family.

A Decade of Fun and a New Chapter

The founders of Game Nite Lounge have been working on this concept since September 2024, and the effort shows. They started completely from scratch. As they transformed the historic space, they uncovered 100-year-old fireplaces and kept pieces of the building’s character while crafting an experience that feels fresh and immersive.

What Is Game Nite Lounge?

GNL is where the thrill of a game show meets the comfort of your living room. The space features 10 uniquely themed lounges, each designed to give you and your group a private, cozy, and interactive experience with custom seating, 70-inch screens, interactive coffee tables, and creative lighting.

You can choose from a growing library of original games made by local Memphis creatives like Stephen Lynch, Heather Fjord, Josh Taylor, Brianna Walsh, Alexander Drown, Calyn Ashe, Kenzie Atkins, and more.  Have fun playing party games, strategy, trivia, card, dice, arcade games, and more. Choose between free-for-all, go head-to-head in duos, collaborate in co-op, or split into teams.
