The Young Collectors Contemporary is a cutting-edge art fair that is multi-disciplinary in scope.

Their goal is to expand the spectrum of emerging artists to new and existing collectors. Part exhibition, part party, and part contemporary arts conference, this event is for emerging artists, collectors, and the arts community.

  • Workshops: (Artist Track Only) Join for a day of workshops focused around professional development, entrepreneurship, advancing your career and growing your artistic practice.
  • Opening Night Party: One of the hottest tickets in town, Young Collectors Contemporary host committee organizes the ultimate nightlife experience. Dress code is “Mona Lisa Chic.” Food catered by Wok’n in Memphis & Paradox Catering.

  • This is a day filled with the next generation of artists, curators, and cultural changemakers around the topics they are passionate about.

  • Open Studio Tour

Programs have been expanded to include two multi-day pass tracks, The Artist Track and the Art Lovers Track. The artist track includes creative entrepreneur workshops and mentor sessions for fine artists, curators, creative professionals, and students. While the art lover track introduces beginning and burgeoning collectors to the vibrancy of Memphis art culture with a curated tour of galleries and studios.

This year’s Emerging Curator is the dynamic Rog & Bee Walker, a NYC based photographic duo. Together they direct Paper Monday, a visual storytelling and research project that explores identities and creative experiences within culture. Rog and Bee Walker will be in Conversation with Darren Isom, Executive Director of Memphis Music Initiative, on Saturday, March 24th.

YCC will also be activating the 25 miles surrounding Memphis for an open studio cruise March 19-25. There’s still room available for the month of March. Just complete the open studio application to secure placement.
