The Woodruff-Fontaine House Museum will be featured on SyFy channel’s Ghost Hunters this Wednesday, February 5th 2014, at 8pm CST.  The episode “Don’t Forget About Us” examines hauntings and the legendary spirits of some of Memphis’ wealthiest and most influential citizens at the Woodruff-Fontaine House Museum.

Expedition Unknown, a local paranormal research group, will host Paranormal 101 at the Woodruff-Fontaine House Museum Saturday, February 8th at 7PM until midnight.  For information about this unique workshop, future dates, or to make your reservation go here

The Woodruff-Fontaine House was built in 1870 along “Millionaire’s Row”.  The mansion, home to two prominent Mempis families, was vacant for several years.  The Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities rescued the house in 1962 and restored it to its former splendor.

Preserved inside are eclectic collections of antiquities and artifacts from the 19th and turn of the 20th centuries.  The mansion is appropriately dressed according to the holiday or season.  Permanent collections are on display throughout the year.  The Woodruff Fontaine House Museum is revered as one of Memphis’ finest wedding and event venues, complete with a new garden venue (opening this spring).
