8 Ways to Invest in Memphis This Week: May 4th – May 8th

While we love sharing all the fun events going on in Memphis, we also want to highlight some important invest opportunities that exist. From fundraisers to volunteer opportunities, we’ve got several ways to invest in the 901 this week.

Support your neighbors in bringing safer, cleaner, and more playful spaces to your neighborhood by supporting one of these ioby projects. Give now to ensure a greener, more livable Memphis.

Instead of getting dressed up and spending a night out, you’re invited to stay in, listen to the hosts’ musical recommendations, and donate your expenses for a night out to MIFA. Donate by May 13th for a chance to win four tickets to Memphis: The Musical!

We love our teachers! Thank a teacher this week with #Teach901 on social media. Interested in joining urban education in Memphis? Go here for teaching jobs currently available.

LITE’s high school finalists will pitch their amazing social venture ideas after six months of hard work. They’ll share their stories about how they developed an innovative solution to an issue facing their respective communities.
Following Pitch Night, they will hold a “$20 for 2020” Campaign Launch Party and reception honoring the seniors and recognizing their achievements. They will sign for where they will be attending college next year (just like a football player). Corky’s BBQ will be provided at the reception. The Pitch Night portion is free of cost and the reception is $20. You may attend either or both depending on what you sign up for. Dress is business casual. Tickets are limited so sign up now to reserve your space. Pitch night will start promptly at 6:00 pm. Reception will start promptly at 6:45 pm.
