The Champions follows five of the dogs that were rescued from a famous dog fighting ring.  Come see the stories of Cherry, Little Red, Handsome Dan and other “Vicktory” dogs that were rescued and given a second chance at life.  Director Darcy Dennett states, “…from the moment we started filming as the pit bulls settled in at the sanctuary, it quickly became clear that for the most part, the dogs were frightened, abused, under-¬‐socialized dogs who were completely misunderstood and deserved a second chance.”  This film is also about the extraordinary bonds that humans and dogs experience. This screening takes place at Malco Paradiso Cinema (584 S Mendenhall Rd). Advance sales only, there will be no tickets available on the day of the screening.
