Broad Avenue has reinvented its annual spring art walk to become more family friendly and day-oriented.

On Saturday, April 14 from 10am to 6pm, Broad Avenue will host their annual spring art walk. This spring’s event will host an artists’ market, live music and food trucks

For over a decade, the event has existed to showcase the area’s local and regional artists. In keeping with the goal to exhibit Memphis’ artists, the district has decided to move the event into the daytime to reach and attract an even broader audience.

The family-friendly event will also feature additional hands-on activities, painting, dancing, live music and more of an opportunity to interact with the featured artisans. The Broad Avenue Art Walk is free and open to the public.

The artists market will include artistic works with unique styles from “found art” created from repurposed items to painting to sculpture.

Additionally, there will be numerous food trucks on Broad throughout the day and many Broad Avenue restaurants will offer “sidewalk specials” during the event.

For even more food options, the Overton Park Community Farmers Market will offer homemade goods and fresh produce for sale at the Hollywood Street end of Broad Avenue. Wiseacre Brewery will also participate and host an artwork show in the Tap Room.

For your live entertainment fix, Collage Dance Collective will perform on the family stage, and the School of Rock will perform on the main stage all day.
