If you’re looking for a Valentine’s Day you will not forget, you should attend the Spaceface show in Cooper Young.

Spaceface, which is a Memphis based band, will be performing with New Madrid, an Athens based band, and The Nots, a Memphis all girl punk band at The Sanctuary, which is at the corner of Cooper and Walker starting at 10 p.m.

The Valentine’s Day themed show is hosted by Brister Street Productions, a Memphis based production company that helps local acts and artists, as well as putting on community events and benefiting non-profit organizations. Because this is a day of love, they want to share a little bit with the less fortunate, so they are asking you to bring canned goods for the Midsouth Food Bank for provided incentives.

Entry is $5 and a cup for beer is $5 (until the kegs are emptied). After that, they will be selling $2 PBRs. The first 50 people to show up get a free pair of prism spectacles to enhance your spaceface vision. DJ Witnesse (of Lord T & Eloise) will be spinning Memphis Funk and Soul 45’s throughout the night.

Guerilla Stone will be vending at the event and this is the menu:

  • Wraps: $5
  • Bacon cheese burger $5
  • Hot dog $2 (plain) condements mustard ketchup sweet relish
  • Meatball sandwich $4
  • Mild Chili bowl $2 (plain) (beef & beans, sharp cheddar)
  • Chili pie $5 (fritos chili & sharp cheddar)
