Memphis Rapper Yo Gotti
Yo Gotti is bringing his Birthday Bash with Friends back to the Fedex Forum for the 8th year in a row on July 15th!

The Return of Yo Gotti & Friends Birthday Bash

Imagine sitting in a sold-out FedEx Forum as fans cheer for Yo Gotti to come out.

Everywhere you look, you see cameras flashing, and people almost in tears as they await a line-up of some of the hottest artists in the industry. You see the stage lights come on, smoke filling up the venue, flames blazing, and all of a sudden you see the Ridgecrest Apartments lit up center stage.

Then, he finally comes out—and the entire venue shakes from the roars of screams and fans rapping his lyrics bar-for-bar.

That’s exactly what I’ve experienced while attending Yo Gotti’s Birthday Bash, and I’m committed to going every year. That adrenaline rush you feel from just the intro alone is a feeling that I hope all Memphians and fans experience this week.

This Friday, July 15th, 2022, Yo Gotti and Friends will once again take the stage at the FedEx Forum for the eighth edition of the Birthday Bash!

It’s not too late to grab tickets! If you have never been to Birthday Bash, I promise you’ve been missing out.

It is Yo Gotti’s goal to bring the most electrifying experience that people have ever had right to the steps of Beale Street with a night of rapping, singing, and enjoying the culture all on one stage. His past shows brought in artists such as Lil Wayne, City Girls, Meg the Stallion, Lil Baby, Boosie, Gucci Mane, NLE Choppa, Polo G and so many more. Even Nicki Minaj made an appearance at Birthday Bash 6 at Mud Island.

The most inspiring part of it all is it was never just about the show for Yo Gotti. He always wanted the Birthday Bash to be a testament to where hard work, focus, and dedication can take you. He’s sure to give a shout out to the ones he learned those qualities from—his mom and aunties.

If you grew up in North Memphis, like me, then you grew up on Back to da Basics (2006) screaming “That’s Whats Up” and “Shawtttyyy.”

If not, then I’m sure you were introduced to him at some point throughout his prominent career whether that’s been through one of his albums, mixtapes, or features.

Mario “Yo Gotti” Mims, a proud Memphian—who hailed from humble beginnings at Ridgecrest Apartments in North Memphis, Tennessee—is a multi-platinum musician, an entrepreneur, and mogul of those three letters, CMG!

He has now built a brand that is globally recognized and recently released his 11th studio album CM10 Free Game. His music has always been at the top of the charts bringing in numerous big award nominations. He is a philanthropist, businessman, father, friend, and inspiration to so many.

He has an extensive portfolio of artists signed to CMG such as Moneybagg Yo, Blac Youngsta, 42 Dugg, Mozzy, EST Gee, Big Boogie, Lil Migo, Blocboy JB, Lil Poppa, Lehla Samia, and recently added Glorilla. He is taking young talent and showing them the ropes—and putting them in the same room as Jay-Z and Roc Nation.

“Birthday Bash is back and it's going to be better than ever,” Yo Gotti said.

Although he hasn’t released the names of the artist, I keep telling my friends he may bring Jay Z since he is now a part of Roc Nation—and it might be his last one! *Wishful thinking*

My favorite part of it all is being in one space—enjoying the moment with so many other Memphians and great fans! I look forward to this experience and I hope this  is not the last concert Yo Gotti has in Memphis, but even if it is, Memphis has some of the best talent in the world and any time we can showcase that, we will!
