TEDx is coming to the University of Memphis on August 27, and the lineup of speakers includes some of the most innovative and influential people in Memphis. The speakers’ “ideas worth sharing” are sure to stir thought-provoking conversation and spark your curiosity about local, national, and global matters.

TEDx 2016 Speaker Lineup:

  • Dr. Mario Brown – Manager for Leader Assessment & Development of First Horizon National Corporation
  • Ned Canty – General Director of Opera Memphis
  • Tosha Downey – Director of Advocacy of Teacher Town Memphis
  • Ron Garrison – CEO of Memphis Area Transit Authority
  • Jason Jackson – Lead Design Architect of brg3s architects
  • Kyler & Kody McCormick – Founders of The Outboud Life
  • Phillip Mudd – Counterterrorism Analyst
  • Olliette Murry-Drobot – Executive Director of The Family Safety Center of Memphis and Shelby County
  • Emily Neff – Executive Director of the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art
  • Terence Patterson – President and CEO of the Downtown Memphis Commission
  • Tamara Sawyer – Director of Diversity & Cultural Competence for Teach for America Memphis

Tickets cost $75 each but students can get a discount code for $30 tickets by emailing anna@newmemphis.org from a student address.
