On Friday, August 21, local artists Steve Selvidge and Mary Hatley will be taking the stage at BSide Memphis!
From Studio To Stage
Both artists have an impressive range of influences: Selvidge’s range from folk to psychedelic funk, while Hatley’s range from classic rock to contemporary soul.
The two met during the production of Hatley’s sophomore album at Easley McCain Studios. Selvidge, who is known for co-founding Big Ass Truck and his work with The Hold Steady, has been a key player in Hatley’s album. His contributions ranging from his impressive guitar solos to vocal accompaniment can be heard on Hatley’s most recent published works.
Selvidge has joined Hatley’s backing band, The Petty Bitches, and will be playing for both Hatley and his own band, The Steve Selvidge Band, for the night. Two killer bands. One night. Don’t Miss it!
