The Memphis Grizzlies and the Soulsville Foundation will join forces for Soulsville’s annual fundraiser, Staxtacular. Presented by Suntrust on February 7th, starting at 7:00pm and going till 12:00am, the fundraiser will be held at Stax Museum of American Soul Music.
Continuing the tradition started by Shane Battier and Brian Cardinal back in 2005, four of Memphis’ favorite Grizzlies will host the benefit along with other Grizzlies personnel. Tony Allen, Zach Randolph, Mike Conley, and Marc Gasol will provide assistance at Staxtacular 2015. “World Tour” food stations, open bars with custom cocktails, live and silent auctions, and of course live music provided by the Stax Music Academy alongside the Bo-Keys with Stax Superstar William Bell will all merge to make an impeccable night.
Since Staxtacular began, they have attained over $900,000. This year they hope and expect to expand these donations’ numbers to over $1 million. With bidding on NBA mementos, artwork, travel and music-themed packages, and other such items during the auctions they should meet these expectations.
The Soulsville Foundation conducts the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, Stax Music Academy, and The Soulsville Charter School. And through Soulsville USA, the foundation motivates young people to strive for success by demonstrating leadership and by financial aid. Staxtacular will raise money for each of these immensely important causes.
Tickets to Staxtacular cost $150 each. You can purchase them by calling 901-261-6338 or online at the Staxtacular website here. You can also buy them in-store at the Stax Museum or at the Grizzlies Den Team Store in the lobby at FedExForum.
