In 2010, Southern Junkers was a group created on Facebook for lovers of anything and everything vintage, antique, and collectable. With hopes of sharing the history and stories that come with these items of old, the members of the group searched through garage sales, estate sales, dumpsters, and curb sides in order to find things with promise that could be repurposed.
In 2012, Southern Junkers started hosting markets, and the small list of Facebook followers has grown to a 20,000 member group. The success of the movement has been so great that they are able to host three markets a year, one during the spring, another in the fall, and the third during the holidays, always featuring incredible, one of a kind gifts.
The Southern Junkers are bringing their fabulous finds to Memphis as they host their fall market in Overton Square. The markets are lined up with music and entertainment, plenty of food, and of course dozens of vendors with historically unique finds that you won’t find anywhere else. Come out and find beautiful antique furniture, that perfect vintage dress, and the last piece for your collection at the fall Southern Junkers market.
