Slice of Soul Pizza Lounge is now open at 1299 Madison Avenue in the Madison Heights District.

Slice of Soul Pizza Lounge had its grand opening in the beginning of January. Here, you don’t just get to come and order pizza you also come for the experience. The lounge offers spoken word nights, an in-house DJ and live band, karaoke nights, art, and of course,  many ways to customize your pizza. The Lounge’s pizza crust is made from artisanal flatbread. You can order unlimited toppings for no extra charge, and all pizzas are made to order.

Co-Owners Howard Bell IV and Anthony Latiker Senior both described the lounge as a inviting place to bring family or friends.

Latiker said, “It feels like a family cookout here, it’s also a kid-friendly place.”

The venue itself is covered with tons of artwork from various artists in the city and is available for purchase. Proceeds from the artwork go directly to the artists.

Bell says, “It is a way we can help someone else get their name out there, and it also adds some Soul to the lounge.”
