Looking for something to do in Memphis? Shelby Farms Park will be hosting events this April in celebration of Earth Day. The days will consist of festivals, movie nights, campouts, and even a 5k! You should be there!

April 15, 2018 | 2pm: Earth Day 5k

Get your body ready to run the Earth Day 5k. Afterwards you will be invited to take a tree home to green up your community. Register online here.

All proceeds from the Earth Day 5K benefit Shelby Farms Park Conservancy, the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that manages and operates Shelby Farms Park + Shelby Farms Greenline.

April 20-21, 2018 | 5pm-9am: Earth Day Family Campout

A family-friendly campout in the Woodland Discovery Playground which will include:

  • A Hike [guided]
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Campfire Cooking
  • An Outdoor Movie

Cost per person (ages 3 and under are free of charge)

  • $8 Park Members
  • $10 nonmembers per person

April 28, 2018: Outdoor Movie Night

Rounding out the Earth Day celebrations at Shelby Farms Park is the showing of “Jumanji” on a big screen on the Great Lawn. Park Members can attend for free with your membership card or your quarterly member postcard. The cost for nonmembers is $10 per car.

The Down to Earth Festival will have live music, high-adventure play, eco-friendly vendors, local food options, and more.

  • Archery: $3 per person
  • Inflatables: $1 a ticket / $10 unlimited play
  • Knocker Ball: $5 per person
  • Petting Zoo: $3 per child
  • Jr. Fishing Rodeo: Free | 10:30am-1pm | To register you can go here

New this year: A Cornhole Tournament

  • First Tennessee Foundation Visitor Center
  • 11am: Registration Closes | 12pm: Tournament Start
  • Space is limited — tournament caps at 20 teams
  • Early Registration: $25 per team, one free parking pass (one vehicle)
  • Day of Registration: $30 ($25 + $5 parking fee)
  • Registration fees benefit Shelby Farms Park Conservancy.
