The Paint Memphis one-day festival returns this fall at an all new location.
Paint Memphis 2017 is a festival open to all. Come celebrate the art show that these artists present all day long! The festival is made to highlight areas in Memphis that are often overlooked in the city; the idea is to promote and encourage communal growth within the 901.
The last two years, the festival was held in North Memphis where the mural was painted on a flood-wall at Chelsea and Evergreen. This year, at the new location on Willett Street, there will be live music, food trucks, and different vendors to enjoy, while also experiencing the murals being painted by several artists from Memphis and all over the world. The whole festival will take place under the bridge on Willett Street between Central Ave. and Lamar Ave., as well as Altown, the skate park at Roland and Lamar, on the edge of Cooper-Young.
