Satellite Music Hall Announces First Six Shows

Music lovers, get ready—there’s a new stage in town, and it’s about to light up Memphis in a big way.

Satellite Music Hall, the highly anticipated 1,300-capacity venue opening this September at the Crosstown Concourse, just dropped the first look at its grand opening lineup.

Tickets for all 6 shows are on sale now.

From hometown heroes to nationally touring favorites, this first wave of shows feels like a love letter to Memphis’ past, present, and future.

Opening weekend double header

Kicking things off September 4–5 is none other than Memphis-bred The Band Camino. If you’ve followed their rise from local favorites to indie-pop mainstays, you already know this is going to be special. There’s something different about seeing a hometown band open a brand-new venue. Expect big energy, loud singalongs, and a crowd that knows every word.

Keeping it Memphis

Satellite didn’t stop at one local act. They’re stacking the early lineup with artists who represent the city’s sound in very different ways.

On September 17, Valerie June takes the stage with her signature blend of folk, blues, and soul. Her shows feel intimate even in a packed room.

Then on September 26, Memphis hip-hop legend Project Pat brings the energy all the way up. This show is sure to be one for the books.

Touring acts you’ll want on your calendar

Satellite is also bringing in some heavy hitters from across the touring circuit.

  • Modest Mouse (October 12): Indie rock staples with a live show that’s as raw and unpredictable as their catalog.
  • Iron & Wine (October 27): The perfect show to kick off fall in Memphis.
  • Prof (November 4): High-energy, wildly entertaining, and the kind of show that turns into a full-on party.

The mix here is intentional. Satellite isn’t picking a lane. It’s building a space where all kinds of music fans can find their thing.

Why this venue matters

Memphis has no shortage of legendary music history, and the Satellite is honored to make its way onto the scene. Satellite hits that sweet spot: big enough to bring in major touring acts, but still intimate enough to feel connected to the music.

Located at Crosstown Concourse, it’s also part of something bigger. Between Crosstown Arts, The Green Room, and nearby venues like the Hi Tone, this area is quickly becoming a go-to district for live music any night of the week.

And Satellite isn’t just about shows. The space is designed to host comedy, community events, and more, making it a year-round gathering place, not just a stop on a tour route.

Built with Memphis in mind

One of the most exciting parts? The investment goes beyond the stage.

Satellite is partnering with Stax Music Academy to offer hands-on learning opportunities for local students, creating a direct pipeline into the music industry. Add in 150+ new jobs and a focus on community programming, and it’s clear this isn’t just a venue opening. It’s a long-term play for Memphis’ creative economy.

This is just the beginning

More shows are on the way, with additional announcements rolling out in the coming months. But if this first lineup is any indication, Satellite Music Hall is coming in ready to lay down roots in Memphis.

So, whether you’re grabbing tickets for opening weekend or eyeing that Modest Mouse date, one thing’s for sure: your fall concert calendar just filled up.

We’ll see you at Satellite.
