Since fall 2014, this musical series has allowed Memphians to come together and experience music in a unique, hidden gem within the city. Curated by Goner Records, The River Series offers an intimate viewing experience for live music fans.

This year’s series will feature Coco Hames with Little Bandit, Wreckless Eric with Alex Greene and Los Cantadores with Mark Edgar Stuart.

Instead of traditional tickets, the event requires a minimum donation of $5 at the door. That donation goes to cover the River Series, Maria Montessori School operating costs and the event’s scholarship fund – which helps underprivileged children attend and experience Montessori schools.

The on-campus amphitheater is an underutilized, truly beautiful event setting on the Mississippi River in Harbor Town, where we are able to showcase and celebrate the school, the river, the Harbor Town community and the musical talent of Memphis and beyond.

Located Maria Montessori School’s campus, the Harbor Town Amphitheater is a beautiful space that River Series founders Zac Ives and Robby Grant saw as underutilized. Thus, Ives of Goner Records and Grant teamed up in 2014 to reinvent the Harbor Town Amphitheater.

Since then, the duo have curated biannual shows in the fall and spring to promote musicians. Each seasonal showcase features three shows – typically two bands and one DJ.

Music just sounds good in there without much effort. It’s a really special setting – you can bring you entire family or a first date.

This season’s line-up features various talents from Memphis and beyond.

Coco Hames will kickstart the Spring series with music from her newly released record, and Nashville band Little Bandit will be opening for and backing her up.

Local Alex Greene is opening solo for Wreckless Eric, who will be releasing a new record in the coming weeks, on April 15.

Finally, Memphis mainstay Los Cantadores will close the series on April 29. Mark Edgar Stuart will return to the amphitheater stage to open for Los Cantadores.

Buy your $5 tickets at the door on April 1, 15 and 29.
