This event celebrates the release of J.K. Rowling’s screenplay Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Harry Potter’s 36th birthday. As these two events merge and build excitement in Potterheads and the film community, the Rec Room preps for an already vowed 400 wizards (according to their facebook event page).

  • When: July 31st, 12pm-9pm
    • All ages from 12pm-6pm
    •  18+ from 6pm-9pm
  • Where: Rec Room, 3000 Broad Ave
  • Tickets: $15 online here or $20 at the door

There will be a sorting ceremony, costume contest, an OWLS trivia competition, Divination Class Fortune Telling, a dueling club, movie screening, lifesize Wizard’s Chess, and Hogwarts’ staple sport: Quidditch (Beer Pong)

Bring your friends and as the venue advises: All ages will be granted entrance into the parade of festivities from 12pm-6pm. The amusements will then transition to strictly 18 and older as an evening of local brews, themed specialty drinks, and costumes unfold. You can sign up for trivia and beer pong by speaking to a Game Warden once you get into the event.
