Memphis Animal Services is celebrating National Cat Day with a pop up cat cafe on South Main serving up some delicious coffee and cute, adoptable kittens.
- When: Saturday, October 29 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Where: 101 S Main St, 38103
- Cost: Free to get in, and cat adoptions are $35
In an effort to raise awareness about the animals available for adoption at Memphis Animal Services, a pop up cat cafe will be set up on South Main, across from Oshi, where cat lovers can come play with the kittens, enjoy some coffee, and shop designs from Beth Spencer.
All cat adoptions will be $35, which is half price from the shelter, and will be cash only. Their goal is to get all of the cats at the pop-up shop matched with a new family.
Dr. Bean’s Coffee will be served up on site, and Beth Spencer Designs will have tons of goodies to shop including tote bags, pins, magnets and stickers available for purchase via cash or card. She is also working on a special design for the event and will have a giveaway bag for anyone who adopts a kitty.
Many of my illustrations feature cats. They’re funny little animals who seem to take themselves so seriously. Since they’re a steady source of inspiration, I love helping promote them for adoption! – Beth Spencer
Memphis Animal Services hopes that by bringing some of their adoptable felines to Downtown Memphians, people will realize what a great addition a cat makes to an apartment or condo living situation.
