Playhouse on the Square is hosting their annual “Great Wine Benefit,” a fundraising event that pairs wine tasting with theatrical entertainment on September 16th from 6-8 PM. The event features 10 wines matched with shows from the theater’s upcoming season, including productions like Sweeney Todd and Jesus Christ Superstar.
Attendees will encounter actors dressed as characters from the upcoming season there to interact with guests throughout the evening. These performers offer trivia hints in exchange for tips, where guests can improve their chances of winning prizes.
The event aims for a “come as you are” atmosphere that’s approachable for both theater enthusiasts and wine lovers. Taking place in the theater’s main space and lobby, it’s designed to be elegant and fun!
The trivia component runs throughout the evening with multiple opportunities to win prizes. Even guests without extensive theater knowledge can participate, especially with hints available from the costumed actors.
