What a Piece of Work! Forms & Movements For The Resistance

Our Own Voice Theatre Troupe is breaking down Shakespeare through performance.

What A Piece of Work! Forms and Movements for the Resistance is an original multidisciplinary performance piece, directed by Bill Baker and choreography by Kimberly Baker. It’s inspired by Shakespeare’s tale of Hamlet, a Danish prince who tragically failed to take action before it was too late. This production is about resisting anything that lulls us into complacency. What a Piece of Work! will run for two weekends.

  • When: September 29-October 7, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM
  • Where: TheatreWorks in Overton Square
  • Cost: $12 general admission, $10 for students and seniors

Our Own Voice Theatre Troupe has been creating original, thought-provoking theatre in Memphis since 1991. They use the theatre as a forum for exploring issues that affect the psychological and social well-being of all of us. They have been a Resident Company at TheatreWorks since 1995, and are the only original company still remaining.
