Every year, there are more and more reasons to start biking around town in the greater Memphis area. From the Greenline extensions to bike lanes being added to streets all around town, it’s now easier than ever to travel via bicycle. But, for those interested in starting cycling as a hobby, actually buying a bike can be the most intimidating part. It’s hard to decide what type best fits your needs and style and the sometimes sky-high prices only add to the stress. However, with the official grand opening of the Pedaltown bike shop on Broad Avenue, say goodbye to this uncertainty.

Pedaltown Bicycle Company’s goal is to make buying a bike not just affordable, but fun and easy as well. The shop has a fun modern design, friendly and helpful customer service, and affordable prices on high quality bikes. Whether you’re looking for a simple single-speed for cruising downtown, a high-durability mountain bike for off-road excursions, or a child’s first push bike, Pedaltown has you covered.

This July 15th, they are throwing a grand opening celebration. There will be special sales with all bikes under $500, adult bikes starting at $300, and kids bikes starting at $99. Besides the deals on bikes and gear, there will be activities for all ages. A raffle will be held with chances to win gear and a brand new bike. And of course, it can’t be a true Memphis party without some high-quality food. MemPops, Broadway Pizza, and Wiseacre Brewing Co. will be handing out free popsicles, pizza, and beer.

The event runs from 12 pm – 4 pm on July 15th at the Pedaltown shop (address here).
