Now is the Time. Memphis is the Place.

The Parking Party: Benefit for Overton Park Conservancy

The Overton Park Alliance along with Park Friends will host “The Parking Party” benefit for the Overton Park Conservancy on May 24th.

  • When: Wednesday, May 24th, 6pm-8pm
  • Where: Abe Goodman Golf Clubhouse in Overton Park
  • Cost: Free, but donations are strongly encouraged

The Parking Party is a fundraising event for anyone and everyone to attend where all donations will go directly to the Overton Park Conservancy to use towards its $1 million share of the Memphis Zoo parking lot renovation. The OPC has to raise the funds by June 11th.

“One hundred percent of donations collected during The Parking Party will go towards this effort. The Overton Park Alliance wants to help the OPC take back the Greensward for the citizens of Memphis. By contributing what we can as individual citizens, Memphians are making a collective statement on the importance of Overton Park to our city.” – OPA event organizers

The event will feature live music by local artists Vicki Loveland and Van Duren along with a fun old-fashioned cookout. People are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and live music for their evening of summer.

The Overton Park Alliance is made up of neighborhood associations and supporters of Overton Park. The Overton Park Alliance and Park Friends collectively represent thousands of Memphis citizens with a deep love for their city and for Overton Park.
