O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Find Him at GPAC this Weekend!

This tale has it all! First love. Swordfights. Family rivalries. And all the drama unfolds in just five days’ time to change the course of these young lovers forever.

Shakespeare’s famous star-crossed loves come to GPAC this weekend! Steven McMahon’s beautiful Romeo & Juliet begins a four-show run Friday, April 10 at 7:30pm. Originally choreographed in 2012, this ballet is considered a staple in the ballet canon, but this version is Memphis’ own set to Prokofiev’s famous score. There are many reasons this work has endured for centuries and continues to grasp new audiences.

Join us to congratulate the dancers on another amazing season and send them off into the summer before Season 40 begins! Coming to our shows is just one way to support the vibrant arts scene in Memphis and show your gratitude to these talented company artists, costume creators, lighting designers, rehearsal directors, and so many staff behind the scenes.

Ballet Memphis is the resident ballet company of the city, creating works for our community for 40 years!
