A woman in a red dress plays an acoustic guitar and sings into a microphone on stage. A man in a red shirt stands behind her, playing a violin. Keyboards and a painting are visible in the background, setting the scene for what feels like an impromptu Tambourine Bash.

“What it’s really about is giving Memphis musicians the opportunity to grow their careers outside the city and represent Memphis nationally and globally.”

Whether it’s fundraising to cover travel expenses or securing partnerships with renowned tours and festivals to make sure Memphis musicians are on their radars—year after year, Music Export Memphis (MEM) is creating pathways to propel artists to new heights.

In a city with a certifiably robust, and diverse range of musical talent, Music Export Memphis is always on the hunt to add more Memphians into the mix.

That's where you come in. We need your nominations for MEM Tambourine Bash!

Who do you want to see take the stage at Overton Park Shell? What kind of musical collaborations do you want to make happen?

From now until the end of June, Music Export Memphis is accepting nominations—and they’re taking it one step further in the spirit of including even more MEMphis in the MEM Tambourine Bash. Not only do you get to submit nominations for potential participants, but you get to vote for the finalists who will be featured in the final performance.

The Mem Tambourine Bash may not be until October, but Music Export Memphis offers a multitude of opportunities to engage local musicians and music lovers.

Music Export Memphis Ambassadors have access to merch funds, competitive scholarships, unrestrictive tour grants, festival features and more. See the requirements, and submit an application here.

A few MEM Ambassadors you may know will be making their way to Toronto, Canada to take the stage at North by Northeast Toronto Festival next month.

On June 1st, you’re invited to experience the show before they take flight! Ahead of every festival, MEM hosts a preview party that’s free and open to the public. Toss in $20 to access the open bar, spirited by Old Dominick.

There's a lot of time between now and october!
