Memphis-based HopeWorks Inc. is a nonprofit that aims to serve the under-resourced community and break the cycle of crime, addiction and generational poverty that affects many people in our city.
They are hosting their 8th Annual Morning of Hope breakfast and fundraising event, and Father Gregory Boyle, motivational speaker and founder of Homeboy Industries, will be the keynote speaker. The work that Father Boyle does in Los Angeles aligns closely with the work that HopeWorks does in Memphis.

Homeboy Industries offers training, support and hope to people who were formerly involved in gangs or were incarcerated to help them redirect their lives and become contributing members of their community. Each year over 10,000 people from across Los Angeles come through their doors in an effort to make a positive change.
