Mike Moro moved to Memphis to be trained as a teacher by the Memphis Teacher Residency. He wanted to make a difference in the community where he lived, and felt that being a teacher in Memphis was the best way to do that. Now he’s fulfilling that dream as a biology teacher at Melrose High School.
It’s a rewarding, but demanding job. To keep his job from being his entire life, he started going to a trivia night at Huey’s with a few teacher friends. It’s now a weekly tradition and their team has grown to include people from all sorts of backgrounds who just want to hang out and have a good time.
