Mentorship is taking center court this spring as MENTOR Memphis Grizzlies returns for its 4th Annual Mentoring Matters Summit of Tennessee—a three-day experience (May 8-10) designed to uplift youth-serving adults, celebrate culture, and strengthen community ties. With the backing of the Memphis Grizzlies Foundation and MENTOR National, this year’s summit is shaping up to be the most dynamic one yet.
What This Year’s Summit is About
This year’s theme, “Cultural Connections: Strengthening Social Connections through Cultural Humility,” highlights the importance of embracing diversity to foster meaningful relationships.

These sessions are tailored for educators, nonprofit leaders, coaches, and anyone working with youth. With four deep-dive breakout tracks—Organizational & Leadership Culture, Social Connectedness, Social Isolation & Mental Health, and Celebrating Cultural Diversity—attendees will walk away with practical tools and powerful insights.
Kickoff Reception at the Bass Pro Pyramid
On May 8, participants are invited to the Opening Night Reception at the Mississippi Terrace inside the iconic Bass Pro Pyramid. It’s a chance to connect, celebrate, and take in one of Memphis’ best skyline views—all included with summit registration.
