HOLD ONTO YOUR BUTTS. We’ve got some exciting news to share! Mempho Music Festival is planning to make a comeback this year, giving us THREE days instead of two AND a BRAND NEW LOCATION! Start manifesting those good vibes now.
Even though it’s only been a year since this global shutdown started, it’s felt like ages since we’ve been able to dream about the possibility to experience live music in Memphis, let alone live music in a festival setting—BUT HERE WE ARE!
A whole lot of good has come from Mempho Music Fest since its beginning in 2017. We’re talking Janelle Monae, Anderson. Paak, The Raconteurs, Wu Tang Clan, Post Malone, plus plenty more star-studded performers. There was also the Bonnaroo-style camping in Shelby Farms Park, an Insta-photo worthy Incendia dome, all the good featured food (ISLAND NOODLES), and then some.
We pressed pause in 2020 for obvious reasons, but it seems like late festival season 2021 may be on the horizon. Fingers crossed.
Even though we are a ways away from an official line-up announcement, we still have a few things we can celebrate NOW:
- Just the fact that we can be hopeful enough to add this to our calendar. HAVING THINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO IS FUN!
- What used to be two days of festivities has been bumped up to THREE. Mempho knows we deserve that extra day.
- We get to enjoy a change of scenery this go-round with the location set to be at the Radians Amphitheater at the Memphis Botanic Garden.
