Memphis World Trade Club Appoints New Leadership for 2025: A Vision for Strengthening Memphis Logistics

With its roots in the thriving trade history of Memphis, the Memphis World Trade Club (MWTC) is a longstanding pillar of the city’s logistics industry. Established in 1947, the club continues to champion the city’s role as a global supply chain hub. This year, the MWTC welcomed Dustin Crick as its newly elected president, alongside an accomplished team of officers and board members, to lead the organization into a future of growth and innovation.

Memphis is a Logistics Powerhouse

Memphis’ reputation as a logistics leader is well-earned. The city’s infrastructure, featuring the Mississippi River, Interstate 40 and Interstate 55, and Memphis International Airport, supports seamless transportation of goods worldwide. Crick explained, “We make it happen. All things bought and sold have to start somewhere and end somewhere, and logistics makes that possible.”

The city’s fertile delta has long made it a hub for agriculture, with logistics companies emerging to meet the demand for transporting goods to markets and ports. Today, Memphis continues to adapt to modern challenges, such as leveraging artificial intelligence and navigating shifting trade policies.

Meet Dustin Crick

Dustin Crick, Director of Strategic Accounts and Partnerships at The Armstrong Company, brings over a decade of logistics experience to his new role as president of MWTC. Crick is committed to elevating the club’s influence and expanding its membership.

“Memphis truly is the center of the universe when it comes to logistics,” Crick shared. “My goals for 2025 are to improve the Club’s programming by providing more engaging, insightful events that offer both educational and networking opportunities, increase the number of active members and broaden the diversity of companies involved, and establish the MWTC as the hub of knowledge and expertise in the Memphis area for all things supply chain and logistics.”

The Importance of Logistics

The COVID-19 pandemic spotlighted the critical nature of logistics, as supply chain disruptions affected businesses and consumers alike. Crick emphasized, “People now realize how important logistics is to the economy and commerce. We just want people to support our industry and its significance to Memphis.”
