Enjoy beautiful renditions of classics and pop songs alike.
The Memphis Symphony Orchestra has announced its lineup for the 2018-19 season. This season, while remaining committed to performing masterworks of the classical genre, such as Beethoven, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky, they are seeking to showcase it’s modern flexibility. In their Pop series and Classical Accents series, you’ll have a chance to hear renditions of the Beatles, Elvis, Star Wars, and more! Memphians, get excited because there is a lot of great music coming your way. Check out the complete lineup below:
Everyone has a connection to classical music, but when classical music is only presented in the form of Beethoven and Mozart, some people miss or ignore that connection. We created the Classic Accents and POPS series to demonstrate the relatability of classical music, in hopes of showcasing our range and creating new fans of symphonic music.” – Music Director Robert Moody
