The only thing more Irish than Celtic this St. Patty’s Day is the homeland itself! Thursday will start off celebrations with a 4 course beer dinner benefitting CYCA. Friday and Saturday, you can devour scrumptious food and drink specials, while enjoying live music. Sunday will feature a patio bar, bag pipes, and many more Irish surprises!

Elmwood Cemetery has taken the best of both worlds, past and present, to honor the Irish this year! They will be offering a baked potato bar served with cold beer. After grubbing, enjoy a walk through Memphis’ historic cemetery!

Shelby Farms Park Conservancy and the Wolf River Conservancy have partnered together to lead the 8th Annual Tree Planting. Over 2,000 volunteers are expected to plant about 2,700 trees. This is part of the park’s effort to plant one million trees in the park and its neighbors.

Beale Street will host its 40th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade this year! There will be bands, dancers, floats, cars, and much more! Many local bars and businesses are offering specials including karaoke, drink specials, bands, and many more St. Patrick’s Day surprises! There will be several pub crawls specializing in great drinks and Irish food involving Silky O’ Sullivans, The Flying Saucer Emporium, and Kookie Canuck.

For St. Patty’s Day, Patrick’s is definitely living up to the name. It’s celebrations will kick off with drink specials beginning at 9 PM on Saturday March 16th, and last through Sunday! Saturday and Sunday will both be jamming with live performances! Patrick’s will also have a delectable St. Patrick’s Day menu featuring Irish classics like Fish ‘N’ Chips , Corned Beef and Cabbage, and Irish Quiche; in addition to the unique menu, Patrick’s will offer their late night menu all day on Sunday.

There’s nothing better than mixing southern style barbecue with Irish traditions, and Central Barbecue has found the pot of gold! Sunday they will be offering their succulent barbecue served with a side of live music! The Mighty Souls Brass Band will play at 2:30. There will be plenty of $3 beers and $10 ribs, as well as a Cornhole Tournament at 6PM w/ proceeds going to St Jude.

Hosted by No Regrets Tattoo Emporium, this benefit event is for tattoo artist Joe Stamp. There will be live music, door prizes, and sloppy joe’s from chef David Todd.

Huey’s is also having a huge St. Patty’s party! All locations on Sunday will have live music (no cover), drink specials (Guinness, Killians, Jameson, Car Bombs), and signature tshirts for sale. Also, Huey’s Poplar is a stop on the East Memphis Pub Crawl.
