Delta Fair & Music Festival – Agricenter (7777 Walnut Grove Rd) – Through September 8th
This annual fair is full of things to do with the whole family. Go ride the ferris wheel, eat some food on a stick, see the petting zoo, check out the car show, and a ton of other things. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth, and $5 for senior adults.
Rock for Love – September 5-7th – Multiple Locations
This concert helps the Church Health Center raise money to help many working families without health insurance obtain health care in the Memphis area. This event celebrates Memphis in the most musical way. It will be one you don’t wont want to miss with 3 days of music fun and a great line up of music at Ardent Studios, Young Avenue Deli, Overton Park, and the Levitt Shell.
Cooper Young Festival – September 14, 2013 – 9:00am- 7:00pm Cooper Young District
The Cooper-Young Festival, hosted by the Cooper Young Business Association (CYBA), is held in Memphis’ largest historic district. Guests will enjoy an appealing mix of art, music and crafts presented by over 400 artisans from around the country. It just doesn’t get any better than this – three stages of music performed by local musicians, hand-made art, hip-hop movement stage, children’s play/art area – make plans to join us today. Mid-South Pyrate Faire – September 21-22, 2013 at Mud Island River Park
Any lovers of pirates or people who like dressing up as pirates head on over to Mud Island to have some fun in the sun with the family. This is a free event presented by the Mid-South Buccaneers as they promote camaraderie through historical reenactments and all things swashbuckling and dramatically exciting.
Best Memphis Burger Fest is Memphis’ premier burger eating and cooking competition. You’ll have the chance to try different types of burgers from a variety of cooks and enjoy live music while you eat!
Broad Ave Night Market – September 26, 2013 – 6:00pm – 10:00pm
The night market has a similar format to South Main’s monthly Trolley Tour. The shops, galleries and businesses on Broad Ave. will stay open late. The space between the new Indie Style Market and West Memorials will be packed with food trucks, live music, kid’s activities, a community dance class led by the Collage Collective and vendors selling everything from art to locally-grown produce.
Join the Ronald McDonald House and have all the ice cream you can eat! Join us for the 19th Annual Big Scoop Ice Cream Festival. Kids of all ages look forward to this annual festival of cool treats, awesome entertainment and great outdoor fun! Gonerfest 10 – September 26-29th – Multiple Locations
This annual event is celebrating 10 years of Goner Fest and 20 Years of Goner Records. Bands will play at the Cooper Young Gazebo as well as the HiTone and the Buccaneer Parking Lot. You won’t want to miss this one. Get tickets for one day only ($25) or for all the events ($70) here.
