Treat yourself to a night out on September 29th with Spins Monthly DJ Series at Crosstown Arts (1350 Concourse Avenue).
Eso Tolson, Spins organizer, said that he wanted to have an event at Crosstown specifically for the late night crowd.
“There aren’t many events starting at 10pm that aren’t at a nightclub,” he said. “It was an opportunity to create something to add to the late night scene in Memphis while highlighting some pretty dope DJ’s.”
This month, Spins will be featuring DJ Siphne Aaye, who is a visual artist in addition to a DJ. Siphne Aaye specializes in hip-hop, funk, and soul.
“She’s kicking off the series because of her ability to grab a crowd and take them where she wants to take them, which is usually a great place to be,” Tolson said.
In addition to dope music, there will be dancing and places to lounge and hang out in The Green Room, where Spins will be held.
“The dance floor will be wide open for anyone willing to get down and bust a move,” Tolson said.
The 18+ event will be from 10pm to 12:30am and the cover charge is $5.
