The Transit Driver is responsible for driving members and residents to and from medical, pharmacy, and essential daily appointments as scheduled.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
-Wearing a mask/face covering at all times in vehicle, and outside vehicle, while assisting members in/out of the vehicle
-Performing and documenting  pre/post-trip vehicle inspection
-Reviewing daily routes and log into appropriate device(s) at start and end of shift
-Safely and efficiently driving passenger van or SUV  per daily designated routes
-Reporting to member’s Pick up/Drop off location in a timely matter
-Assisting members in/out of the vehicle
-Report any member cancellations/no show or issues to direct supervisor
-Disinfecting and maintaining the passenger van or SUV, including taking the vehicle to a designated area for cleanout, disinfectant, and fuel for the next day
-Monitoring and reporting vehicle system messages to supervisor and documenting on pre/post-trip inspection form
-Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
-High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
-Have a current and valid Driver’s License with at least an F endorsement or an equivalent, or Commercial CDL
-Ability to safely drive vehicles
-Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public
-Ability to communicate effectively
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions
-Ability to make independent judgments that have moderate impacts on the organization
-Ability to complete assigned vehicle documentation
