These positions are funded by a grant for a duration of time as defined by the grant.
Charge Nurse- COVID Vaccinations– Provides expert practice in nursing in a Health Department program or clinical environment or working as a supervisor over limited number of staff within a Health department program or clinical environment.
Pharmacy Technician- COVID Vaccinations– Performs various functions and activities relating to packaging, drug distribution, ordering, inventory, and billing.
Paramedic / Advanced EMT – COVID Vaccinations- Works as a member of the Shelby County COVID-19 Pandemic Response Team, an interdisciplinary team tasked with reducing and, in time, eradicating the pandemic in Shelby County. Primary strategy implemented by the EMS Provider will be vaccine administration.
Licensed Practical Nurse– COVID Vaccinations- Works as a member of the Shelby County COVID-19 Pandemic response team, under the direct supervision of a nurse of higher classification, to perform limited and specified professional practical nursing duties. Primary strategy implemented by the nurse will be vaccine administration.
Clerical Specialist – COVID Vaccination- Works under general supervision to perform a variety of entry-level clerical/administrative duties that may require use of limited independent judgement, interpreting skills, and skill processing, creating and/or maintaining various records, files, and information regarding specific departmental functions.
