Rhodes College invites applications for a Human Resources Coordinator to support the Human Resources Department.  Duties include, but are not limited to: performing a variety of professional and administrative duties that facilitate the day-to-day operations of Human Resources, including interpreting, monitoring, and analyzing information regarding operating policies and procedures, assisting in program planning and development, administering budgets, addressing inquiries and requests from applicants, employees, vendors and community members in a timely and helpful manner, maintaining a strong working knowledge of HR policies, ensuring compliance with federal requirements and College policy, coordinating recruitment hiring processes (i.e. – online job postings, pre-employment testing, candidate screening, etc.), coordinating logistics for new hire orientation, benefits open enrollment, employee holiday brunch, and staff recognition brunch, administering HR budget, including timely submission of expense reports, providing creative and relevant information on the HR website, helping to increase employee engagement through HR communications with employees through multiple outlets, as well as recruiting, training, and managing student workers.

Bachelors degree required. Two or more years of human resources experience and/or work experience in a relevant field. Strong organizational and prioritizing skills, emphasizing attention to detail and accuracy. Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point; Professional use of social media and Workday experience preferred. Great communication skills, both verbal and written; including demonstrated ability to build consensus and establish trust. The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain complete confidentiality of applicant and employee records as well as HR business operations.
