Rhodes College is seeking an Assistant Director of Annual Giving – Reunions to support the Development department. Duties include, but are not limited to: Overseeing the organization and planning of class reunion giving campaigns and reunion celebrations including recruiting and training volunteers, engaging them in the life of the college with specific emphasis on securing gifts and pledges primarily in the $1,000 – $10,000 range, providing volunteers with necessary materials and resources, following up with volunteers, conducting volunteer briefings and trainings, developing close relationships with the volunteers in an effort to build closer ties with the college, cultivating prospects, soliciting Annual Fund gifts, and providing stewardship. coordinating comprehensive communications and marketing strategy for reunion and coordinate with staff to include branding assets, promotion, website development, and sophisticated outreach utilizing analysis, technology, and traditional methods, and helping the Annual Fund reach participation and dollar goals as well as the overall advancement of Rhodes development and alumni engagement efforts. Extensive travel at times to make face to face visits. Occasional weekend and evening work required.

Bachelor’s Degree required. 1-3 years of development experience preferably at an educational institution or demonstrated knowledge of fundraising, volunteer management, and/or marketing.  Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities, to solve problems and demonstrate leadership skills is required. Ability to relate well to the public is a must.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Rhodes College offers an excellent benefits package and a great working environment.
