Rhodes College is seeking an Alumni Services Coordinator to support the Development Division. The position is responsible for receiving requests for and providing services to alumni, parents, students, and other constituents needing assistance from the Alumni Relations Office or the College. Duties include, but are not limited to: coordinating alumni and parent admission volunteer calling program, coordinating with Admission and Data Services, maintaining follow-up information to relay to Admission Counselors, designing, implementing and overseeing the Legacy Program; coordinating alumni special recognition program including letters congratulating alumni on significant life achievements, overseeing condolence letters to families of deceased alumni; assisting with relationship management, managing the office email account, incoming phone traffic, and front desk; coordinating logistical details for on-campus and off-campus events sponsored by the Alumni Relations Office, creating electronic registration pages for events; enhancing organizational systems of electronic and paper documents; handling database queries for alumni, campus offices, chapter leaders, and student organizations; soliciting alumni and parents via phone, text, and or e-mail during Annual Fund campaign; researching, selecting and managing vendors for Rhodes-related merchandise to give as gifts; training, scheduling and supervising all student workers assigned to the Alumni Relations Office; and traveling to staff alumni events and to visit with alumni volunteers. This position requires the flexibility to travel and work weekends and evenings when necessary.

Bachelor’s degree required. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge database as well as experience/training in web applications preferred. Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to relate with a wide range of people in both internal and external communities. Must have strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, utilize exceptional judgment, apply analytical skills, make decisions, and represent the office and institution in a professional manner.
